The birth of this dept as a pass subject takes place with the first permission of dept of higher education Govt of odisha through the lt no-- 61064 dt-- 20/11/1998. From he- odisha bbsr.which show the sciencerity or thirsty about the economics subject in the rural area but actually birth of this dept takes place as a hons subjects with 32 seats in arts stream with the permission from govt dt—22/06/2018 lt no—2591/rde(28272/he/ dt- 1.10.16 & 28643/ he- dt- 4/10/16.the first batch (2018-19) took admission with 17 students (male 12,female 05) st-04,sc-03, gen-03, &obc—04)

MISSION

THE MISSION OF THIS DEPT ISTO PRODUCE QUALITATIVE STUDENTS so it will not only raise the name of this departments but also the name of the college because success and failure of any institution depends upon its successful students. producing quality students is one of the important mission of this department. secondly producing good human being is at the same time equally important mission of this department because it is required today for family & country.

VISSION

As we know today economic growth is decreasing ,very few jobs are available in job market.so in this institution our main duty towards students making them job creator instade of job seaker.for this what is required is that making them all rounder we have to provide them all sorts of information and technology which is developed till today .we feel proud when each and every students of this departments gives us respect with a smile not forcefully as they are ex students of this department.
