DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY

The department of Botany was established in 1997 and botany was taught as part of biological science CBZ up to bsc courses. in 2016 botany hons was started and the semester system cbcs pattern introduced and now continuing as a degree course offering various choice based subjects to the students.

The department take conscious efforts to expands its teaching programme bringing in the field with traditional areas of botany through the field excursion and projects. the students are coached and encouraged through the remedial teaching and academic guidance and also organize field trips ,study tours that helps in bringing about holistic development of students.

Our mission is to strive for an excellent environment for learning in botany and the department prepares students for a wide range of careers by teaching core.

The department aims for holistic development of the students and make them able to continue effectively for their welfare and society in this dynamic era .
